Important Landmark
The real significance of the year 2001 is not so widely appreciated. However the truth is that symbolically
speaking it represents an extremely important landmark. As well as being the true Millennium - the full two thousand years since the birth of Christ it also signifies something altogether more mystical.
The importance of the one.
In the ancient world number was an all important science. Moreover it is true to say it linked both science
and mysticism together in an unbroken seam of enlightenment that summed up much that was special about the ancient world. In this reckoning there were several important magical numbers. While it would be
beyond the scope of this feature to look into those here, what we can say is that in many areas of ancient architecture positioning of objects and monuments was often deliberately arranged to be 1 degree
or cubit out of alignment with regard to cardinal points of the compass or other monuments around them.
Eternal Spirit.
The reason for this is not so widely appreciated. However some mystics theorise that the ancients
deliberately did things this way to signify the importance of the one all important Being - The Divine and Eternal Spirit.
The Trillennium - Rendezvous with destiny.
Similarly the year 2001 is extremely symbolical. Not only is it our entry point into the
Trillennium as it is now being called, it also draws attention to the Universal Spirit - God, without whom nothing would exist. This is why 2001 is so important. It represents one of a number of eras
where universal consciousness undergoes important change. It is not for nothing then that many people are referring to it as a Rendezvous with Destiny.
