Aviation blackspot.
Strange malfunctions aboard aircraft flying the air corridor between New York and Newfoundland suggest a disturbing similarity that deserves close attention.
In total three passenger aircraft have been involved in separate incidents involving over 400 fatalities in little more than two years.
Flight 800.
In July 1996 a TWA Jumbo - flight 800 - bound from New York to London exploded just ten minutes after take-off. Despite intense investigation no definitive cause could be
found for the crash but theories abounded. The most plausible of these concerns frayed cables that may have overheated, causing the fuel tanks to explode.
The Swissair crash.
In September of 1999 a Swissair MD11 aircraft en route from New York to Geneva crashed off the coast of Nova Scotia killing all 229 passengers. The cause of the crash was
attributed to a fire in the cockpit, probably ignited by faulty wiring. In yet another incident just a day later a Royal Airlines Boeing 757 was forced to make an emergency landing at Goose Bay
Newfoundland. Remarkably the cause of the incident was again a smoke filled cockpit.
Wiring faults.
The amazing fact is that in each of these incidents faulty wiring was suspected as the main cause of the incident. Such faults are thankfully rare and this makes the fact
that they all occurred in the main air corridor between the United States and Europe highly significant. Could there be some latent source of energy here that triggers off these faults? If so it would be
nothing new. The infamous Bermuda Triangle, off the Florida coast has long been associated with strange disappearances of ships and aircraft, and this is surely not the only location with these powers.
Perhaps then this Devil's Corridor, from New York to Newfoundland is another example of an area where strange events are more likely to happen. Magnetic Anomalies.
Across the world the magnetic field varies from place to place. Why it does so, and the way that the Earth's magnetic field actually works is still something of a mystery.
Perhaps inherent in its properties is a quality that causes aircraft wiring to heat up and ignite. Ordinarily the magnetic field would not be strong enough to pose a threat, but in especially active
areas, or in combination with other factors, the outcome might prove deadly.
UFO hotspot.
Whatever the truth of the above mentioned incidents, this Devils Corridor between New York and Newfoundland has long been known for its peculiar incidents. In 1954 a B O A
C, Strato Cruiser en route from New York to London was coming in for a refueling stop at Goose Bay (click here for more details)
when suddenly the pilot reported seeing something strange.
In his own words: "I became aware of something moving along off our port beam at a lower altitude at a distance of maybe five miles, in and out of a broken layer of
stratocumulus cloud. As we watched, these objects climbed above the cloud and we could now clearly see one large and six small objects" The pilot then informed ground control who vectored a fighter
plane to intercept. Before it could reach them however the pilot reported that the smaller objects "seemed to enter the larger", mother ship, before vanishing from sight. Captain James Howard
later described the main object as the size of a large passenger ship.
Unusual area.
What is apparent is that the whole of this area encompassed by the so called Devil's Corridor is one of peculiar forces. These forces may not be consistently powerful, but
this variability would tally with the explanation of a magnetic anomaly. The magnetic field is not always of uniform strength, and these disturbing aircraft incidents might only occur in conjunction with
an especially strong field.
